Oiche: Live at BelloBar

Oíche presents a night of live music with four diverse acts and a range of genres from r&b/soul, electronic, funk and rock music.The first announcement is for Alex Smyth who has just released his single, Escort and boasts a lot of his own musical projects coming up this month

Alex Smyth

Alex Smyth is an Alternative Instrumentalist at the forefront of the Ambient Cinematic scene in Ireland. Equipped solely with a Guitar, Electronic Drum Pad and a suitcase full of FX pedals, Alex is capable of soundscapes Nialler9 has described as being “A little bit Low-Fi, a little bit Baleric and a little bit Chill-Wave”. Hailing from Dublin, Alex says his motivation comes from Ambient and Electronic Music, Naming Tycho and Explosions in the Sky as huge inspirations.

Cat Turner

‘Prevalent in the music powerfully expressed through Cat’s bruising, raw vocals (like a female Kurt Cobain); is an immediate contrast to the classic ’80s/’90s sound of the synth which spiral you into the song.

ELKAE

ELKAE is an emerging electronic soul artist setting out in a genre of her own.
Taking inspiration from the music world and settings around her, she combines ambient production and live instrumentation to set her apart from the crowd. Bass and synth driven beats run parallel to her powerful soulful voice to consume the listener and immerse them in her world.

Tanjier


With unique audiovisual and light shows, Tanjier have gained a reputation as one of the most exciting Irish live acts. Their recent tour saw them sell out their headline Dublin gig and support the likes of Sorcha Richardson, and Ryan Sheridan.
