KUDOS bring their Perfect Tour to the Bello Bar, Dublin on Wednesday, February 13th to promote their new album which is being released on February 8th.
Originally from Cork, Sophie and Laura (KUDOS) have been writing and recording their debut album ‘Perfect’ on the remote island of St Helena in the South Atlantic since 2017.
From a musical family, Sophie and Laura who plays piano and guitar are equally comfortable playing their songs acoustically or performing electronically, dependent on the venue and audience. Prior to leaving Ireland, they won the Wesley national duet singing contest and Sophie also attended the world-famous Berklee College summer programme in Valencia.
The album has 10 tracks (nine songs and a radio edit). All songs will have a video, probably the first debut album ever to do so. Four videos are online on their YouTube channel KUDOS- Not-So-Perfect which also features a regular vlog.
The album charts the evolution of sound with acoustic and electronic pop sounds and tracks have been previously described as ‘Sun kissed atmospheric pop’.
The album was mastered by Pete Maher, (Katy Perry, U2, Rolling Stones, Oasis, Lana Del Rey, Kelly Clarkson)
The album cover has been designed by Marvel illustrator Will Sliney.
The first single from the album ‘Monday From Hell’ will be available on Spotify, i-Tunes, Amazon and all major digital services from Monday January 21st, ‘Blue Monday’
