The Latin Swing Quintet brings together two of Ireland’s finest percussionists with three great Venezuelan salseros creating a unique blend of both hot and cool sounds. The shimmering vibraphone floating over the pulsating Latin rhythms creates a sound that is impossible to resist. The set is a mix of salsa classics and jazzy tracks which harks back to the days of the palladium when the music was for both dancing and listening. But don’t be fooled, there is nothing old fashioned about this band unless of course you think great musicians playing sophisticated dance is out of date!
