Kaleidoscope installs its last event of 2017 with an exquisite programme of music for soprano, piano trio, horn, guitar and string quartet. The basement Bello Bar venue will be treated to music by two of the great German composers, Ludwig van Beethoven, his Op. 17 horn sonata (Cormac Ó hAodáin) and George Frideric Händel, his HWV 81 Italian cantata “Alpestre Monte”, sung on this occasion by Deirdre Moynihan, Kaleidoscope’s 17/18 season “featured artist”. The Belisama Trio make their series’ debut with an unmissable rendition of the jazzily vivacious “Café Music” by contemporary American composer, Paul Schoenfield while the second half of the evening, centred around compositions and arrangements by Irish guitarist Ewan Cowley in the company of a string quartet, will be something of a session in itself, full of surprises, twists and turns.
