KOLARS is a Los Angeles duo that blends rockabilly, disco, glam, and mod sounds with modern rock through minimal instrumentation: guitar and a tap-dancing drummer. As Rob Kolar sings and strums his rollicking guitar, Lauren Brown uses her whole body as a percussive instrument, tapping out the hi-hat rhythm with her feet atop a bass drum while simultaneously playing a stand-up kit, using dance to transform rhythms into natural extensions of her movement. It’s quite the workout and undeniably mesmerizing to watch.

Since the release of his debut solo album Leafy Stiletto in 2014, Paddy Hanna has amassed a cult following at home and abroad as a purveyor of oddball melancholic pop music. Formally of Grand Pocket Orchestra and No Monster Club, Hanna’s debut steered away from his anarchic roots and veered more towards the classic songwriting of the 1970s through his own veil of disillusionment and sorrow, Stiletto was met with high praise, leading Irish Times reviewer Lauren Murphy to proclaim it “an inspiring debut”. Hanna will be on tour of Irland from October through December accompioned by a live band featuring Adam Faulkner and Daniel Fox (Girl Band), along with guitarist Paddy Ormond (Jetsetter/Postcard Versions). Tickets go on sale Friday 13th October at 9am
