Dowry + Participant join forces to bring you the first of four Dublin headliner shows around Ireland
Dowry is the recent solo project of multi-instrumentalist and composer Éna Brennan. Since moving to Dublin from Brussels nearly 10 years ago she has obtained an MPhil in Composition from Trinity College Dublin and collaborated with a vast array of artists, be it as a composer, arranger or violinist, weaving in between many of the layers of the Irish music scene. Only a couple of years into her solo project she already has a long list of notable gigs to her name including performances on the Other Voices Stage at Electric Picnic, 12 Points Festival and Sounds From A Safe Harbour, and she has been noted as one to watch in 2018 by The Thin Air, State.ie and Whelan’s. Her debut release In É for solo violin & FX is out and Dowry Strings join Bell X1 this November in the National Concert Hall for two sold out shows.
Participant is Stephen Tiernan, a songwriter and producer from Dublin. Tiernan has been independently releasing music since late 2014, with 2 EPs, several singles and a Cassette Compilation/Sample Library to his name.
With each release, Tiernan has further established Participant as a vehicle for polished and affecting production without sacrificing sincere and heartfelt songwriting. His releases have received praise in Ireland and the UK from the likes of, The Irish Times, Hotpress, Nialler9, Clash, The 405 and Crack in the Road.
His new single Coast is due for release this October
